Oh yes, I could definitely imagine that would be the case! My walking (waddling?) range is very limited so I haven’t tried a green man for ages. I’m the mad woman cycling on the pavement in a wobbly fashion instead.

Its a looong time since I was pregnant but I remember another such “tendency” -
the green man doesn’t give you enough time to cross the road safely.

‘yes, please’ on service sheet origami lessons. A5 is such an awkward shape, and ripping it down to squares is a bit risky when resources are precious. (though of course, I find more need for this in other contexts.

I am trying to win the congregation over to the concept of play-doh as standard issue (for all who wish).

Oooh,I’m so naive Agatha!! I just presumed there was a T-in-the-Park type event somewhere nearby that was going to draw the crowds and that I had paid absolutely no attention to..!

The Oasis days are something that actually run on a monthly basis at the church in Dunbar (and are apparently very successful). It is just this time we are opening it up to the Diocese and it is just a shame that ‘the Diocese’ don’t seem to want to go to Dunbar this weekend.

I’m looking forward to fish and chips on the beach for lunch!

Sorry maybe my joke not as funny as I thought – I was noting you were advertising it as an Oasis event.
More seriously, if this is a similar thing to what used to be the East/Midlothian churches picnic, that was always slightly less fun than a visit to the dentist, so you may also be fighting historical prejudice against it.
