..that it is National Walk to School Week?
Having got a flyer at the nursery I thought favourably of potential recognition for trailing up and down the pathways pushing a pram twice a day.
Until I read the small print that walking from the car park counts too.
Pathetic! Maybe it is political correctness such that nobody is excluded!!

Possibly that is to counteract the pedantic people who will say that walking from car to school is still walking. pff.
Comment by Doug May 12, 2008 @ 1:58 pmI used to walk or cycle to school most days, at least 99 out of 100. I also walk to Uni a lot. so I think I get gold stars!
I don’t think I ever lived close enough to school to walk - (think I was always anywhere between 3 and 20 miles away) - School buses or Dad’s taxi (on his way to work were the way forward, although we never got dropped off too close to school so I would come under that small print category - maybe its been put in for people in similar situations for me…
